Using lamps as a medium, inheriting the thousand-year Buddhist rhyme and illuminating the pure land in all directions

FOTON is a cultural lighting system designed specifically for the Buddhist holy land of Mount Wutai, integrating the solemnity of the Buddha’s head, the auspicious omen of lanterns and the piousness of candlelight. It uses 70W high-color sodium lamps to simulate the “Buddha’s light and golden flame”, combined with antique gilding technology and Zen structural design, to provide highly customized solutions with both religious rituals and functional lighting for scenes such as religious temples, cultural heritage scenic spots, pilgrimage trails, and Zen cultural tourism complexes, making each lamp a visual instrument that conveys the wisdom of Buddhism.

Light is a symbol of wisdom and a medium for salvation. FOTON uses “light” as a language to condense the Buddha’s teaching of “breaking ignorance” into a concrete lighting system.

Religious scene adaptation optics

The candle flame sodium lamp is customized, and the output band of the 70W high-pressure sodium lamp is adjusted through the filter coating, and the 580-590nm golden spectrum (accounting for >65%) is strengthened. The golden light color temperature accurately restores the texture of the golden body of the Buddha statue, and the atmosphere of the entire Wutai Mountain night lighting environment is unified, ensuring the solemnity of the rituals of the Dharma Assembly. The stray light is weakened, and the visual image of “the Buddha’s body is golden and the light is infinite” in Buddhist scriptures is accurately matched, and the color rendering index Ra≥85.

Asymmetric light distribution

The customized reflector directs 60% of the light flux to the ground (illuminance > 30lx)and softens and diffuses 40% upward, forming a three-dimensional light field of “lotusflowers reflected on the ground and Buddha’s light hanging in the sky”.
